- Prepare and serve coffee drinks consistently according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, etc.
- Operate espresso machines and other brewing equipment safely.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using POS systems.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and brewing techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail for quality control.
The Barista's performance is evaluated based on customer satisfaction scores, speed of service during peak hours, consistency in beverage preparation quality, and adherence to health safety standards within the café environment.
