The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational activities of a hotel during the night shift. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, guest satisfaction, and smooth operations by reconciling daily transactions and addressing any overnight guest needs.
- Perform nightly accounting tasks such as balancing accounts and generating reports.
- Reconcile all hotel transactions including room charges, food and beverage sales, and other revenue streams.
- Prepare daily management reports summarizing financial performance.
- Address guest inquiries or issues that arise during the night shift.
- Ensure security protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for early check-ins or late check-outs.
- Strong numerical aptitude with attention to detail in accounting tasks.
- Proficient in hotel management software like Opera or OnQ.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address guest concerns promptly.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
