- Decide on a theme for a collection, sketch designs, select fabrics, colors, and patterns.
- Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
- Ensure products are in agreement with business strategy.
- Select fabrics and trims; collaborate with fabric manufacturers for best options within budget constraints.
- Create production sketches for development packages.
- Strong artistic ability and creativity in design concepts.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction techniques.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
- Good communication skills for collaboration across teams.
